| The Malaysian Youth Council (MYC) is the
national umbrella body of youth organizations in Malaysia. MYC
aims to realize the objectives of the National Youth Development
Policy and work closely with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
MYC conducts various programs for youth, which include healthy

| PENGASIH (Organization of Reformed Drug
Users) runs a drug rehabilitation program based on the concept
of therapeutic rehabilitation of the community. Services include
day-care facilities, referrals for detoxification, individual
and group motivational counseling, after-care referrals and
outreach programs. HIV/AIDS education and counseling modules
have been integrated actively in all their programs as a response
to the rapid spread of HIV amongst intravenous drug users. |

| SAHABAT was established in 1999 with the
goal of providing direct HIV/AIDS-related services for the people
of Kelantan who have been infected or affected by HIV. Currently,
members of SAHABAT conduct outreach to hospitals, homes, and
