| Paediatric AIDS Fund |
| |
| Paediatric AIDS Fund is devoted
to meeting the day-to-day needs of our children in the hope
that their living standards do not decline dramatically from
the presence of HIV/AIDS in their households. |

| Set-up in 1996 by the Malaysian AIDS Foundation,
the Fund looks after the needs of both children infected with
HIV as well as children who are HIV-Negative, but who have at
least one parent who is HIV-Positive or has died of AIDS. |

- HIV/AIDS Infected or Affected Children
- Infected: HIV Positive
- Affected: HIV Negative (One parent who is HIV Positive
or died of AIDS)
- 0-13 years old
- Malaysian Citizen
- Access to monthly household income of RM1,500 nett and
below

| The Paediatric AIDS Fund provides
financial assistance to minimize, as much as possible, the pain
and suffering of our children. |

| We recognize that children living with
HIV/AIDS have immediate needs that require immediate solutions.
Through this Scheme, financial assistance and sponsorships are
offered on a monthly basis to meet the following needs of our
children: |
- Child Support - RM 80 - RM 100 each month to meet basic
daily needs such food, clothing and schooling.
- Viral Load Tests - to help monitor our children's response
to their HIV treatments.
- Transportation to seek HIV treatment.

- Birth certificate
- Doctor's letter ( HIV positive children)
- Social workers letter ( HIV negative children)

- Appx. RM1,444,000.00 ( 1996- 2006) to almost 519 children.
- Almost 80% direct financial support to families (child
support & household supplement)

|
| For 2006, the MAF has committed RM 300,000
to meet the needs of children registered with us as well as
to deal with the ever -increasing number of applications, which
we are receiving. |
