The Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC) is an umbrella organization of 42 partner Non-Governmental Organisations with a working Secretariat located in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur. The Council is committed to creating an environment free from the negative impacts of HIV/AIDS through coordinating and maximizing community responses, capacity building and advocacy locally, regionally and internationally.
 
The Council is looking for qualified and self motivated individuals to fill the following positions:
 
Data Management Executive
General scope of the job:
The Data Management Executive is responsible for ensuring field data is gathered and registered, ensuring the quality of M&E data entered and helping to produce initial statistical analyses.
 
Organisational relationships:
The Data Management Executive reports directly to the M&E Manager.
 
Responsibilities and tasks:
The Data Management Executive is responsible for obtaining all data from main sources as stipulated in the M&E plan and for their collation and analysis at the MAC office. He/She will work together with key stakeholders to carry out survey assignments, in accordance with agreed on procedures and standards. He/She will undertake routine quality control checking of MAC and partner organisations. The post will involve computer entry of data from field reports, as well as some analysis.
 
Qualifications and experience required:
  • Computer literate.
  • Experience in using Access/ MySQL would be an advantage.
  • Sound mathematics and language skills (including knowledge/fluency in local dialects)
  • Reliable, careful, honest and sincere work attitude, resourcefulness to operate under pressure and difficult circumstances, and good local knowledge.
Field Executive
General scope of the job:
The Field Executive is responsible for providing support and feedback to MAC partner organisations and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of M&E data provided.
 
Organisational relationships:
The Field Executive reports directly to the M&E Manager.
 
Responsibilities and tasks:
The Field Executive is responsible for undertaking regular field visits to ensure that the results of reporting formats, procedures and delivery are efficient and effective. He/She will recommend necessary changes to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures. He/She will train and build the capacity of MAC partner organisations on the use of M&E tools, in accordance with agreed on procedures and standards.
 
Qualifications and experience required:
  • Computer literate.
  • Sound language skills (including knowledge/fluency in local dialects)
  • Reliable, careful, honest and sincere work attitude, resourcefulness to operate under pressure and difficult circumstances, and good local knowledge and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
IT Executive
General scope of the job:
The IT Executive is required to provide support in all IT-related matters which includes customizing, maintenance and support existing systems/ applications, software implementation, report design, software/ hardware/ network/ LAN maintenance, web development and daily troubleshooting.
 
Organisational relationships:
The IT Executive reports directly to the Resource Centre Manager.
 
Responsibilities and tasks:
The IT Executive is responsible to provide prompt end-user support and assist in disaster recovery program, solve and troubleshoot problems. To perform daily operations support and maintenance for network systems. He/ she also involve to analyse, assess and propose creative and effective IT and technology solutions to improve the business and its processes
 
Qualifications and experience required:
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years working experience in network, server administration and hardware support.
  • Required skill(s): Trend Micro, Microsoft, PHP, HTML, ASP.NET, SQL SERVER, JAVA
  • Preferred skill(s): Related security/design products, database.
  • Good knowledge in administering and troubleshoot in Windows environment
  • Experience in networking (LAN/WAN) configuration, troubleshooting and administration.
  • Candidate must be well versed in networking concept and implementation, PC installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge in Web development will be an added advantage
  • Able to handle Microsoft SQL / MYSQL Server in term of query building & database management
  • Possess experience in team management for user support/problem rectification and improvement structure as well as the project management structure.
  • Able to plan and allocate tasks and ensure sufficient resources for the allocated projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Able to work independently, minimum supervision, dedicated, results oriented and hardworking.
