The Malaysian AIDS Foundation (MAF) raises money and manages funds to support the activities of the Malaysian AIDS Council and its Partner Organisations. These activities include efforts to:

• Prevent the spread of HIV in Malaysia
• Educate Malaysians on HIV/AIDS issues
• Support Malaysians living with HIV
• Support children orphaned or made vulnerable by AIDS
• Protect and promote the rights of individuals with HIV/AIDS in Malaysia

MAF also provides financial support to Malaysians living with HIV and families made vulnerable by HIV through its Business Assistance Scheme, the Medicine Assistance Scheme and Standard Chartered Paediatric AIDS Fund.

The Standard Chartered Paediatric AIDS Fund provides support to children from low-income homes who are orphaned or made vulnerable by AIDS.

The Business Assistance Scheme helps alleviate the negative economic impact of HIV/AIDS by providing interest-free loans to people living with HIV who are unable to secure credit from traditional sources.

The Medicine Assistance Scheme enables Malaysians with HIV from low–income homes to attend medical appointments and receive Highly Active Anti-Retroviral Therapy (HAART) medication. This medication helps prolong and improve the quality of life of individuals with HIV.
