The Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Award 2012 is now open for nominations
1 February 2012 – It is with great pleasure that the Malaysian AIDS Foundation (MAF) announces a nationwide call for nominations for the prestigious Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Award 2012. The Award, which will be presented at the Sapura & Kencana Petroleum Red Ribbon Ball 2012 in Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur on 22 March, will be given to an individual or an organisation that have made outstanding contributions to, and shown exemplary quality of work in advancing the national HIV/AIDS response in Malaysia. The Award was last handed out in 2008, which went to PT Foundation for their excellence in serving communities most affected by HIV/AIDS in Kuala Lumpur.
The MAF is seeking nominations of individuals or organisations registered in Malaysia that have positively contributed to the HIV/AIDS response, between the period of Jan 2010 and Dec 2011, in any one of the following fields of work.
The Winner of the Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Award will receive an exclusively designed and crafted trophy by world-renowned luxury watchmaker Richard Mille, a cash prize worth RM 10,000 and a certificate of excellence. In addition, the recipient of the Award will also benefit from extensive media visibility especially during the Red Ribbon Ball 2012.
We call out to all Partner Organisations of the Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC) and other civil society partners, including our friends in the government and private sectors, around the country to spread the word about the Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Award 2012 far and wide.
