We are proud to announce that Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC) is the sole charity beneficiary of the Maybank Treats Fair 2012. The Fair, running for four days from 5 to 8 July 2012 (Thursday to Sunday) at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur, is made exclusive to Maybank Treats cardholders.

This year marks our second collaboration with the Maybank Berhad Treats Fair. Last year, Maybank raised over RM50,000 through the Treats Fair in aid of the Malaysian AIDS Foundation’s PAL Scheme (formerly Medicine Assistance Scheme).

The Maybank Treats Fair enjoyed a turnout of around 200,000 people in 2011 and this year, there will be many exciting activities lined up for the four-day event. Highlights include games & family fun, exhibition booths by over 250 retailers, special midnight shopping until 12:00 midnight on Saturday 7 July 2012, auctions of Manchester United Memorabilia, on-the-spot point redemption and entertainment by local artists, including our very own Red Ribbon Celebrities Supporters. Additionally, Maybank will provide MAC with a booth next to the information counter to display and sell MAC’s Red Ribbon merchandise items. Now, Maybank card members, including American Express Card Members, can redeem their points online, walk-in or via catalogue. They may even donate their redemption points to the Malaysian AIDS Council. This point redemption programme will run for one year.

In addition to cash sales, Maybank Treats cardholders this year may even purchase our Red Ribbon MAC merchandise through point redemption (see below for conversion value). Special appearances by our Red Ribbon Celebrity Supporters will undoubtedly enliven the Treats Fair atmosphere and generate interest in our cause.

Another major source of fundraising for MAC will come from auctions of exclusively selected items that are fully subsidised by Maybank and their good partners. A total of six auction sessions (bidding starts from 1 Treats Point) will be held throughout the event whereby cardholders may bid for up to 18 goods, including Sony Xperia S, Sony 32” TV, iPad, iPhone 4S, Sony Tablet, Samsung Galaxy Note, HTC One X, MacBook Air obtained via redemption of points.

Absolutely 100% of the auction proceeds will go to the Malaysian AIDS Council.
