KUALA LUMPUR, 15 July 2013 – Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC) and its Partner Organisations are signatories to Coalition to Act Against the TPPA Malaysia. In a joint statement with 48 other signatories released today, MAC expressed its grave concern over the longer period of medicine patents which would render it more difficult or delay access to the more affordable generic medicines such as for cancer and HIV, should the TPPA be accepted.
