Mr. Sheikh Abdulla Suleiman Hamed Al-Harthy, Chairman, National Gas Co., Oman:

“As a company that is committed to enhancing the quality of life of its consumers, NGC Energy is proud to partner with the Malaysian AIDS Foundation in their efforts to improve HIV prevention, treatment, care and support services for people living with HIV. At the core of our operations is our aspiration to provide solutions that is able to contribute to the achievement of a bigger purpose. This is what we hope to realize with the partnership — solutions that may lead to a more sustainable resource for the Foundation and with it, enables them to have a positive impact on efforts to reduce new HIV cases and provide greater access to HIV care and treatment for people who need them.”

Pn. Julianna Kamaruddin, General Manager, NGC Energy Sdn. Bhd.:

“NGC Energy has been in partnership with the Malaysian AIDS Foundation on several occasions and we truly believe every contribution can benefit the community that is affected and effected by HIV. Whilst we will continue to work with them by providing cooking gas for the 22 shelter homes and other programs, we have embarked upon a new strategy that will allow a more self- sufficient and sustainable platform for them — if we give man a fish, we feed him for a day; but if we show him how to catch fish, we will feed him for a lifetime. With that, we are proud to appoint Komited Malaysia (or DIC Pahang) as a sub-distributor of Mira Gas cooking gas cylinders which will enable this NGO to earn income for their many activities. In addition to that, we are officially launching the limited edition Getting-to-Zero Firesafe Fire Extinguisher for the Foundation’s fundraising drive.”

Prof. Dr. Adeeba Kamarulzaman, Chairman, Malaysian AIDS Foundation:

“The corporate sector’s role in the HIV response, as demonstrated by NGC Energy, is undeniably vital. As the Malaysian AIDS Foundation strives towards reversing the trend of HIV epidemic by 2015, one fact remains clear – we couldn’t possibly do it alone! We need your support to ensure that babies are born free of HIV, people living with HIV receive appropriate treatment and care without prejudice and obstruction, people at risk of HIV have access to testing facilities in a non-judgmental environment, and evidence-informed policies are in place to protect the health and welfare of those affected by HIV.”
